Friday Appointment

We are going to the fertility specialist on Friday hoping to move to injectibles. We are new to this process and would love for any feedback about what others have experienced in a similar process. If anyone could help us out in giving us questions we should ask we would greatly appreciate it.

We will give an update sometime this weekend on what we found out. Thanks in advanced for any feedback or questions to ask.

Amy

I've only went to the fertility specialist once so I don't know much about injectables. But I do want to say good luck!

Amy, I'd ask about your clinic's multiples rate using injectibles & the amount of monitoring done once you start. Also, it might be good to ask about the percentage of cycles get cancelled for over-stimulation (they wont do an iui if you have too many follicles).
Good luck!!

We have been deciding about clomid versus injectables versus IFV.

I would ask....
1. their success rate for cycles with clomid compared to injectables and IVF.
2. The cost difference between the clomid, injectables or IVF?
3. Chance of twins or triplets?
4. What will insurance cover?
5. Should you get a laproscopy before hand to rule out endometrosis?

Good luck!! I wish there was a simple answer.

Good luck Melissa. This is my first cycle of injectables (gonal f 75). I'm still learning so I can't offer any advice.

Melissa- I swore I saw a pic of a tomatoe hat that you knitted some time ago for a baby. Do you have the pattern for it that you can share?

I don't have any experience with injectibles, but I wish you the best with this. I hope it brings you closer to your baby!

Injectionables: the needles sucked. They got me pregnant. So I love them.

Read "the big guns" category in my blog for more specific details since I now remember nothing. Not even what I ate for dinner last night.

Congrats on next steps. I hope you have the same outcome I had!

We saw an RE yesterday. He said we will try natural cycles for two months w/o drugs. Ali has been on/off clomid for several months. Ali has no problem ovulating on her own, and he said the clomid was probably hurting us instead of helping. The uterine lining sometimes can become too thin therefore, not able to hold a prgegnancy. If she is not preggo after the two natural trys...then on to injectables. It seems so long......
Praying for you both....keep us posted

Don't try to go for the more romantic option and inseminate at home. It just didn't work for me. Get over to the dr's, get that sperm cleaned in the centri-fugal thing-a-ma-jiggy and go for it. That is my (unfortunate) advice.
