Basal Be Gone

I have to say that I'm highly enjoying not taking my temp every morning. I used to be a total stress case and could hardly sleep through the night for fear of what the dreaded thermometer would say. Now I sleep like a baby (so to speak).

We're 8DPO today. Beta blood work is schedule for Tuesday so fingers crossed that goes well but only time will tell. No real symptoms (aside from those from the progesterone) which I'm kind of grateful for because I have no false hope at the moment.

I've been very good about taking my vitamins, drinking my Fertilitea and eating my pineapple. Not sure how much this truly has an affect on the outcome but it's a small comfort to me. It's all about that sense of control, right?

It's all about the sense of control indeed. You're doing everything you can to take good care of yourself (and any underage passengers who may be riding along), and you've got a great attitude about it.

Good luck next week! Will be cheering loudly for you.

I'm feeling good things for you. Not that I have ESP or anything but really...it's your turn!

I'm not temping either at the moment and i find it very relaxing. It certainly makes for a better night's sleep. I hope Tuesday is the best day of your life so far. :)

You are brave for ditching the thermometer. I am too much of a control freak to do it. I just had my insemination today, so we'll see how it goes. Good luck to you! I have to take progesterone too nad I HATE it because it makes me feel so symptomatic!

There is something quite liberating about ditching the BBT. It makes such a difference in the stress level!

I have been dutifully eating a large container of pineapple every day at lunch. I agree, it does give a sense of control that is very comforting.
I ditched the thermometer a long time ago. I'm not much of a morning person, so half the time I'd forget to even take my temperature. Mornings were much less stressful when I stopped temping.

There is something so freeing about being thermometer free. Although I see the point of charting, I get easily frustrated with the "perfect" looking chart that ends in a bfn, so no more for me. As always, I'm rooting for you.

Ditching the thermometer was bliss - I remember. Good luck with the rest of the wait.

Temping sucks and I say good riddance. Thinking positive baby thoughts for you!

I don't ever want to see a thermometer again. I am liking the pineapple. Have you tried imagining you are in Hawaii when you eat it? Remember to include being pregnant in a bikini on a beach of course.
