One Hell of a Morning

Amy left this morning to go out of town for work so the babe and I are on our own. Yesterday I decided that I'm going to put my big girl panties on and that we would be A-OK.

The morning started out great (except for Jack's latest sleep issue which will be another post). We got out the door on time, didn't have to turn back around because we forgot something and we had a no cry ride to daycare.

We get to daycare and I open the back car door to the happiest smiling baby you could ever imagine. Dislodge his car seat from the base and find this:

What is that you ask? Well that would be diarrhea. Which, upon further inspection was all over him, his clothes and his car seat. Jackson found the entire event hilarious and told me so as he smiled and babbled as I initiated DEFCON 5 clean up (I've never been so grateful for daycare cleaning supplies.)

So just a warning that even the cutest, happiest of babies have a diabolical, vengeful side. Especially the day after you take them in for their 4 month check up.

P.S. I know my car is trashed out :) just ignore that part.

I think Jack and Whoop Whoop are the same baby--minus today's diarrhea, which thankfully we have been spared. But seriously, I read your posts of think, yep, I get that.
Sleep issues huh? Oh yeah, we got those. x 10!
Hang in there.

My car definitely looks like that and we have definitely had poo in the car seat. Lily does the same thing when she poos...she just smiles and we don't know it's there until we pick her up and our hand is all in it and it's all over our clothes. Gotta love that!!

We had AMAZING poop explosions all over the car seat and the baby a couple of times. Both times the destination was not home which made for some interesting clean ups. The worst was when we realized that he had been playing in it and had poop on his hands, under his fingernails and yes, all around his mouth. Ick, ick and more ick.

Hope that the rest of your time on your own goes much, much smoother. :)

Nice work Jack! I'm just glad you were headed to a place where you could get him cleaned up!

I'm consistently "impressed" by our babies' abilities to get poop in every nook and cranny imaginable. thank goodness you had the daycare supplies there! (We once forgot O's diaper bag on the way to the farmer's market..."oh, it's okay, we won't need it." Needless to say, we paid for it.)
